Litigation—Post-Transaction Dispute in M&A Process
Automatic Fire Sprinkler Installation Firm
MCA was retained by a business brokerage firm that had been hired by the owners of a fire and sprinkler company to sell the business. The broker was sued by the buyer in a post-transaction dispute regarding standard of care (duties and responsibilities of the seller’s broker to the buyer). MCA analyzed the relevant documents and accounting records, and interviewed the business owners to assess the merits of the buyer’s alleged claims. MCA prepared an expert report and provided expert testimony in the Superior Court of the state of Arizona. The court ruled in favor of MCA’s client which was supported by MCA’s independent and objective findings.
