Jeff Clasen Joins MCA Financial Group as Senior Director

MCA Financial Group is pleased to welcome Jeff Clasen, CPA, as a Senior Director. Jeff brings extensive experience in financial reporting, forensic accounting, litigation support, restructuring, valuation, and audit, strengthening the firm’s ability to assist clients facing complex financial and operational matters.

Jeff joins MCA after more than six years with Alvarez & Marsal, where he worked in the firm’s Private Equity Performance Improvement and Disputes and Investigations practices. His experience includes supporting Chapter 11 companies, private equity firms, healthcare organizations, public companies, and businesses undergoing significant transactions or operational change.

Throughout his career, Jeff has helped clients address matters involving financial reporting, business transformation, forensic analysis, solvency, damages, valuation, and bankruptcy reporting. His work has included preparing financial statements for a pharmaceutical carve-out, analyzing transaction records for cryptocurrency-related litigation, supporting the financial reporting function of a private equity firm, and preparing court-mandated reports for large Chapter 11 companies.

Jeff also has experience evaluating financial projections, assessing solvency and debt repayment capacity, analyzing intercompany transactions, and calculating damages in commercial disputes. This broad perspective allows him to approach complex assignments with an understanding of both the underlying financial details and the larger business issues affecting stakeholders.

Earlier in his career, Jeff worked with Deloitte, where he participated in the audit of a publicly traded real estate investment trust with approximately $7 billion in real estate assets. His responsibilities included reviewing debt, operating expenses, complex real estate valuations, financial models, and key assumptions. He also supervised and mentored team members while helping improve audit efficiency and engagement performance.

Earning a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University’s Barrett, The Honors College, Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Arizona.
