ABOUT PAT

Patrick (Pat) Fodale has more than three decades of experience helping companies navigate transition complexity, financial distress, and operational change. Throughout his career, he has served as a trusted financial leader for organizations facing high-stakes challenges, including turnaround situations, debt restructurings, performance improvement initiatives, carve-outs, acquisitions, and merger integrations.

In his role as a Senior Managing Director and Service Line Lead for the Office of the CFO at MCA Financial Group, Pat works on a wide variety of projects, bringing deep experience in interim financial management and C-suite advisory to companies that need senior-level financial guidance during periods of growth, transition, or distress.

Prior to joining MCA, Pat was a Managing Director at Loughlin Management and subsequently at BDO USA, LLP, following BDO’s acquisition of Loughlin, where he led their respective Interim Financial practices. He served as CFO, CAO, CRO, COO, PMO, and company advisor in over 100 interim management, performance improvement, turnaround, and restructuring situations. His experience spans both publicly traded and private companies, with revenues ranging from $50 million to more than $1 billion. He has worked across a broad range of industries, including retail, consumer products, manufacturing, technology, distribution, transportation, and energy.

A significant part of Pat’s work has focused on supporting private equity sponsors through acquisitions, integrations, and corporate transitions. In these roles, he has built and strengthened finance functions, improved financial reporting and FP&A capabilities, established policies and procedures, recruited key finance positions, and sourced outside service providers. He has also led pre-acquisition diligence, post-acquisition stand-up initiatives, merger integration projects, synergy analyses, and stand-alone financial modeling.

Before his consulting and interim management career, Pat served as CFO of publicly traded companies United Road Services and Global Technologies, as well as large middle-market retailers HomePlace Holdings and Color Tile. Earlier in his career, he spent 11 years with Arthur Andersen, providing turnaround and restructuring, performance improvement, and assurance services.

Pat is a Certified Turnaround Professional and a member of the Turnaround Management Association. He earned both his Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

When not in the office, Pat enjoys watching hockey and attending NY Rangers games, traveling, golfing, and cultivating his coral reef aquarium.
