MCA Financial Group is pleased to announce the hiring of Michael Montoya Jr. as Controller. Michael brings more than 15 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, multi-entity reporting, and operations leadership, further strengthening MCA’s internal finance and operational capabilities.
In his role as Controller, Michael is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance.
Michael brings deep expertise in GAAP, cash flow management, multi-entity financial structures, and tax compliance, supported by ongoing CPA preparation. His disciplined approach and operational mindset align well with MCA’s commitment to precision, accountability, and excellence.
Prior to joining MCA, Michael served as Controller for a multi-entity construction services company, where he led all aspects of financial operations, including cash flow planning, project cost forecasting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and regulatory compliance. During his tenure, he advanced rapidly from Accounting Specialist to Controller, improving reporting accuracy, reconciling complex multi-state accounts, managing tax and annual filings, and strengthening financial processes across the organization.
Earlier in his career, Michael held operations leadership roles at UPS, where he oversaw large teams and managed responsibilities spanning human resources, payroll, safety compliance, and productivity initiatives. This operational foundation gives him a unique, hands-on perspective that complements his accounting and financial leadership.
