ANALYST

The Position

This role is client-facing from day one and offers hands-on exposure to restructuring, valuation, transaction advisory, and litigation support work. Over your first two years, you will build a strong foundation in financial and accounting analysis, financial modeling, and data gathering while supporting senior team members on active engagements and progressing toward independently owned analysis tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support due diligence, research, and analysis of transactions.
  • Assist in developing financial models for valuations, damage analysis, and forecasting, progressing to independently owned analysis tasks.
  • Build and maintain forecasts, cash flow models, and supporting 13-week cash flow schedules in Excel.
  • Develop proficiency in financial statement analysis and review of operating results.
  • Prepare first sections of client deliverables, including reports and data schedules, for senior review.
  • Conduct industry, company, and market research to support engagement teams.
  • Attend client meetings and calls, document follow-up items, and respond to client data requests.
  • Shadow deposition and expert testimony preparation to build early exposure to the firm’s litigation support work.

Professional Growth

  • Build a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and financial advisory skills through hands-on client work.
  • Receive close mentoring and structured on-the-job training from senior team members.
  • Begin professional certification exam preparation for the CPA, CFA, or CIRA, with firm support for exam fees and study materials.
  • Begin building a professional network across the financial advisory industry, including lenders, attorneys, and other professional service providers.
  • Develop strong written and verbal communication skills through direct client exposure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or actively pursuing one.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related internship.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a developing foundation in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Intent to pursue, or active progress toward, a professional certification such as the CPA, CFA, or CIRA.
  • Precision, follow-through, and strong organizational skills.
  • Curiosity, professionalism, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP – ACCOUNTING & FINANCE MAJORS

Phoenix, AZ

The Position

This internship is designed for Accounting and Finance students who want real-world, client-facing experience from day one. As a Summer Intern, you’ll work directly with our professionals on active client engagements, gaining exposure to financial analysis, accounting concepts, and advisory work while learning how a financial advisory firm operates day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial and accounting analysis for client engagements.
  • Analyze financial statements and operating results.
  • Support basic financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Help prepare presentation materials, schedules, and client deliverables.
  • Conduct industry, company, and market research to support engagement teams.
  • Participate in internal meetings and client calls.
  • Complete projects that support ongoing engagements.
